Work to Residence – Straight to Residence
The Work to Residence (WTR) – Straight to Residence visa is for people working in highly skilled occupations that are in demand in New Zealand. You can apply for a straight to residence visa NZ as soon as you meet the requirements. There is no minimum period you must work in New Zealand to qualify for the NZ straight to residence visa.
You must
- Be 55 or younger
- Have a job offer from an accredited New Zealand employer in an occupation listed on the Green List Tier 1.
- Meet the relevant qualifications and experience as outlined in the Green List.
- Be proficient in English.
- Meet health and character requirements.
